Merlin Abbott Obituary
87 of Phoenix, passed away on November 29, 2014. Merlin Paul "Bud" Abbott was born in Phoenix, AZ on April 4, 1927. Bud attended schools in Phoenix, graduated from North High in 1945, then Phoenix College in 1949, and graduated from Arizona State College (ASU) in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army 1945-47. Bud worked as a civil engineer for the City of Phoenix 1955-69 and as Assistant General Services Director for the City of Glendale 1969-84. Over many years Bud won numerous bowling trophies. During his retirement years Bud was an avid golfer. Bud is survived by his wife of 41 years, Marian; 3 half-brothers, Tom Files, Wayne Files and Bill Wilson; 3 sons, Alan, Andy and Arny; 4 adult stepchildren, Susan, Bob, Lisa and Barry; 2 cousins, Betty and Tony; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 5 at 2:00 pm at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Road.

I sincerely send my condolences to Mr. Abbott's wife Marian and family. I too lost my dear husband, of 43years of marriage. How very sad to lose someone that shared many wonderful times and challenging times together. My comfort is in the words of John 4:28,29 Someday I will again see those that I have lost in death.
