Not sure what to say?

Was incredibly grateful for his expertise when I burned my eyes with a heat lamp in 1986. Had a great sense of humor and very kind. Told me his brother Dallin was a black sheep in the family as he pursued law and all the others siblings were in medicine. Thank you Merrill.

Josephine, I am so sorry to read about your dear husband. I don´t know if you will remember me working in the Bountiful Temple. This is Gracie Henderson. I Remember how diligent you and your husband were. Even Merrill was Dealing with his health problems. I have missed you. You set examples to everyone around you. May the Lord Bless You. You serve him so well. You will be in my prayers.

Merrill Oaks was my Bishop while I attended the Pleasant View 7th Ward in Provo. I remember his kind and thoughtful counsel. When I noticed my eyesight deteriorating a little, he told me that eye muscles naturally weaken over time, and not just from poor lighting. I'm sorry to see him go. My best wishes to his family. Hard to believe that was 40 years ago.

Dear Jo, Cal and I are sad to see that Merrill has left this earth, but grateful to know you will be watched over by your amazing family. Dad and Mom and Carol Simmons are probably greeting him as we speak. Thanks for being wonderful neighbors to us all. Cal and Cyndy Simmons (Service Volunteers in Kuwait)

Was a great leader for my mission in Seattle

My mission president

Our association with Merrill and Jo Oaks goes back a long time. We were neighbors and friends when our children were young, and the Oaks family lives across the fence from our family. We have enjoyed many memorable moments with the Oaks family, and we treasure the memories of being in the presence of Merrill and Jo. Their dedication to serving the Lord is admirable. We love them and all their family. Thanks to Merrill and Jo for their example of Christlike service.

Greg, Susie, Peter, Megan, Truman, Ainsley and Natalie. My heart is with all of you at this time. May you all gather together and the love and closeness which your wonderful family displays carry all of you in the coming days. May your Grandfather's name be a blessing to all of you. I send my love over to your house and to the home of your sweet Grandma. Greg. Special prayers for you at this time. With Sympathy, Ruth Magleby

Condolences and God's blessings be upon Sister Oaks and all their family. Many happy memories and gratitude for an inspiring and caring mission president. With love.
