Not sure what to say?

Merritt was a wonderful Christian man, and a dear friend. He and Mary Jane were very speical, a dear couple.
Merritt was a great Sunday School Teacher when I was a young teen and he influenced my life in so many ways. I loved him dearly.
He and his wonderful loving smile and ways will be greatly missed.

Please realize that both Alice and I are saddened at the passing of a great soldier of the faith. That said, we are sure that the faith, perserverance, shared love, joy, happiness and long suffering life that Mr. Merritt lived is reaping the promised reward of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The family is in our prayers.

The angels are rejoicing in heaven; one of God's chosen has come home! I pray that the example Mr. Merritt gave us all will carry through the generations. A man among men, a giant of a Christian. He leaves a beautiful legacy for his children. God bless all of you, in Christian love, Ila

I didn't know Mr. Merritt very well...even though his wife (Mary Jane) was my great aunt...my grand~daddy Arlie & Mary Jane were brother & sister. I last saw Mr. Merritt a few months ago at the dr.'s office......Lisa fron Aurora

To the Watson Family,
As long as I am able to preach the word Capt. Merritt will live in many of the illustrations of my ten years of sitting at his feet. My family has nothing but fond memories of Capt. Merritt and Miss Mary Jane. Lots of Love; Bobby,Jennifer and family

Merritt,
What a blessing to have had your father for so long. I know that also makes it so difficult to have him leave earth for heavenly birthdays. I wish all children could have a Christian family like yours. My prayers are with you, Linda and the whole family at this time.

All of you are in our thoughts and prayers and we hope that you will be comforted by cherished memories and the care and compassion of friends who are here for you now.

Mr. Merritt was truly a man among men. He was the kindest, most thoughtful person and I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. He will be missed by all. My prayers are with his family.

To the Watson family,
How blessed you have been and how wonderful it will be for you to meet your loved one in Glory!
With love and sorrow for your loss,
