Hawthorne Funeral Home - Mount Vernon Obituary

Mike Baith left us 12/1/24 at the age of 85. Mike was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The Navy brought him to Washington. While stationed in Oak Harbor he met and married Margaret Bosma. They had a daughter Michelle. Michelle and Rick Schauer gave them a granddaughter Dani. In October Dani and Cody Taylor blessed us all with great-grandson Tate. Mike retired from Boeing in 1995 and moved to Skagit County to be near the Skagit river and spend his retirement years fishing.

In 2001 he married Patti Hoag Baith who he loved dearly.  They spent their time in Burlington enjoying time with their extended family and fishing on his beloved Skagit River.

He was a very kind person who loved animals and kids.

He will be lovingly remembered and missed.

Not sure what to say?

Mike was a terrific guy!. A great fisherman and talented handyman. He will be missed.

So sorry for your loss Patti, it's so hard to lose your beloved husband. May 10th of this year would have been our 50th Anniversary and on the 26 of it will be 20 years since his passing. I still think about him and miss him everyday. I've moved on of course but never remarried. Take care of yourself old friend. ♥

Patti, these words are written to you in hopes to comfort, yet I wish it could be a long hug. We pray that friends and family will gather around you to give you strength for this journey. sincerely, Don and Michele

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Very sorry for your loss. Know that others care. Prayers for the family.

Patti, We want to send you heartfelt sympathy for your loss.
So thankful for supportive family and happy memories.

Patti. I am very sorry for your loss. My heart is with you and your family. ❤

I spent many days fishing near Mike on the Skagit River. We always exchanged greetings in the morning and the occasional fish story at the boat launch at the end of the day. He was a great man and yes, he loved his river! Tightlines Mike!
