Ronald E. Dickens, 50 of Bascom, Florida peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 1, 2025, after a brief and sudden illness.
Ronald accomplished many things in life. He graduated from Sneads High School as Co-Valedictorian, Class of 1992. He was employed at Bradley's IGA as the Meat Market Manager until the store closed. He obtained his Commercial Driver's License, a dream of his. He went on to attend Chipola College and graduated as a Registered Nurse. He worked at various area hospitals, worked on the Covid Ward during the Pandemic, and was most recently employed by Blountstown Health & Rehab, working with the elderly. His calling in life was helping others.
He was a gentle and loving soul, who touched many lives. His aunt told us, "Those who we love don't go away. They walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and always very dear."
Ronald is survived by two daughters, Bella and Emmy and their mother, Nikki Dickens; his mother, Linda Dickens; two sisters, LeAnn Dickens, and Victoria Williams, one brother-in-law, Kristopher Williams; and one nephew, Brandon Williams; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
James & Sikes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the band program at North Bay Haven Charter Academy in Panama City, Florida. Donations can be made via check and should be addressed to North Bay Haven and can be mailed to C/O Director of Bands, North Bay Haven Charter Academy, 1 Buccaneer Drive, Panama City, FL. 32404.
