Not sure what to say?

If I could use one word to describe Officer Bell it would be AWESOME! He was one of the best officers I've had the pleasure of working with since I have worked at CMPD. His attitude and demeanor were stellar. He was the exact same every time you saw him nice, calm and friendly. When he told me he was leaving the department I was sad because he was an amazing officer and those are the ones you want protecting the streets. He has gone from labor to reward and I am proud to say that I knew him....

To the surviving Bell family, you have my deepest sympathy for your great loss. Scott was a genuinely all-around great person and one of the best officers I knew. He was an all-around great officer who was always there to help a fellow officer in need of assistance or advice. He was a great mentor for new officers (including me) for how to do the job and do it well. I looked up to him as someone I could always ask advice, even after he left the department. He was quiet, never cocky, always...

Even for a brief moment, God was gracious in allowing us to borrow you from His Divine library. It is only fair, but no less painful, that we, on this plane, keep our end of the bargain and ensure your safe return home. Thank you for sharing your journey with us, I promise that you will never be forgotten, I look forward to seeing you again my brother.

We praying for your family

I will always remember Scott as "Mr. Bell", as that's how I addressed him when I worked his background for Police Officer and later during his time in the Academy. Mr. Bell's positive attitude and pleasant, quiet manner led me to believe he would be a good officer and informal leader. I will remember him fondly. My prayers to both Mr. Bell's CMPD family and his personal family. He will be missed greatly.

Scott....It was a pleasure working with you. You were a hard working officer that respected everyone and had the respect of your peers. I am so glad I got the chance to get to know you on a personal level as well. Thanks for backing me up on several calls and traffic stops. I am so glad I got a chance to tell you about your impact on our department before you left the department. Your presence was missed as soon as you left the department, rest peacefully in GOD's arm my brother, Rest in Peace.

Bell and I worked together in the University Div. (CMPD) He was a great person. He will truly be missed. RIP brother

It was such a joy to work along side you. You always had a smile on your face. Still cannot believe you are gone. Thank you for your service to this community. May your soul rest in peace.

With deepest sympathy.
