Not sure what to say?

Hey Black - another Thanksgiving season has passed, and as always, the Beckum clan thought of you. We all missed your great attitude and infectious laugh. Until we shake hands and hug again....Love You Brother!!

Hey Black - Time on this earth passes quickly, and only seems like a few weeks ago you spent Thanksgiving with the Georgia gang. We remembered good times with you during Thanksgiving a couple of weeks ago. I guess that holiday is fitting for us, as we are all so grateful to have counted you as a best friend. There is a picture of us hanging on the wall, right next to the sofa. So, I am reminded of you daily. The frame of that picture says, "truly Great Friends are hard to find, difficult to...

Hi Black - we all had a great Christmas and New Year, but as usual my gang and I missed having you around in person. Though not physically, you are with us always. Until we meet again, love you Brother!

Hey Black - this time of year always make me think of you more than I normally do. The Georgia Gang still has great memories of our times together, and we laugh about some story or other many times throughout the year. I miss you terribly and look forward to seeing you again. Love you Brother!!

Played a lot of soft ball with Blackie and Jerry. Had a great time with both. Jerry, sorry about your loss. I hope to see Blackie and you again on the ball field some day / some where.

Hi Black....you made such a positive impact on so many as evidenced by Debbie Rexoad message. I still miss you so much and see a picture of you on the boat every morning and smile. You are with me and I love you brother!

I was at my son's baseball game tonight and was remembering days gone by when I'd watch the guys from Providence Hospital play ball out at the Rumpke fields. Mike played with them as well. I remember when all the team got their trophies at the end of the season, Mike gave me his. He said it was mine for being a devoted fan. It's been 30 years ago. I decided tonight I would try to find Mike as many years have past and my boys are now teens. My heart is broken to know he is gone for now. ...

Hey Black....we all thought a lot about you around Thanksgiving, your birthday, and Christmas this past year. Hard to believe it has been a year since you had to leave us. Just know that we talk about you often down here in Georgia, and love you as much now as we ever have.

It has been years since we have seen Blackie, but have wonderful memories to hold on to. We will be praying for the family. RIP..Mike Blackwell
