Michael Bochniak Obituary
On March 16, 2015, Michael Bochniak, passed away. He was the beloved husband of Juanita Bochniak (nee Smith); devoted father of Michele Traut and her husband Brian, Ann Marie Keeney and her husband Kreg, and Matthew Bochniak; loving grandfather of Paul and Rachel Keeney, as well as his step grandchildren Sarah and Emily Traut; dear brother of Eleanor Mech and her husband Robert, and JoAnn Laird and her late husband Frank. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Relatives and friends may gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air 610 W. MacPhail Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014, on Thursday 3-5 and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10am at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church (Pylesville, MD). Interment at St. Mary of the Assumption Church Cemetery. On line tributes may be left for the family at www.schimunekfuneralhomes.com

Uncle Mike was my first crush when I was a kid.. I have fond memories of him as I grew up. I loved the both of you very much. I'm sorry the distance between states, where I lived and wasn't able to come and give my support to the family. You are in my prayers and I will keep in touch.

We are still in shock over the sudden passing of Mike.Our hearts go out to Juanita and the entire Bochniak Family..My friendship with Mike goes back to 1951,(6th grade) at PS#6 in Fells Pt..We were in the US Navy at the same time,and played on Tanya's Softball team in the 60's & 70's.We shared many laughs and good times.Mike was a true friend,and will be deeply missed. " REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND"

Juanita,I am sorry to hear about mike passing away. I have known you both since 1966 At the cup. I remember helping mike with the basement at the rowhouse. You said to him is that all I do is laugh. My prayers are with you and your family. Sincerly woody harrison

After Mike retired from Sweetheart Cup I interviewed him to work part time representing Walker Die Casting at Allison Transmisson now GM Baltimore. Mike always conducted himself in a professional manner and the times I would get upset with GM Mike would always be there being a peace maker between our two companies. Mike did this for the last 11 years. In that time he has been a friend of Walker Die Casting and to me personally.To the family I give you our condolences and pray that God will continue to bring to your minds the many fond memories you have of Mike.

Mike Bochniak was a former long-term employee with Sweetheart Cup & Solo Cup. He was a great man who will be missed.
