Ronald John Bochniak, Sr., of Chesterfield, sadly passed away on July 4, 2024.
Born to Andrew and Mary Bochniak, in Detroit, Michigan, on July 29, 1931, Ronald was a proud United States Army Veteran and would donate monthly to Shriners Hospital for Children and St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
During the 70's, Ronald enjoyed coaching the Snoopy's Softball team in Warren, with his wife, Helen. His daughter Carol played on the team and they would win many city championships together.
While living in Brown City, he was affectionately known as "Grandpa on the farm" by his grandchildren. Anytime there was a family gathering, everyone knew it would soon be time to play the card game, "Help your neighbor." Ronald was a dog lover and always had a dog until a few short years ago. His daughters Lynn and Sue had fun calling him Grandpa to our cats.
He and his granddaughter, Keagan, will always share a special bond over bananas.
He was the greatest, and most loving father to Lynn Weinert, Ronald (Diane) Bochniak, Jr., and Susan (William Catalano) Bochniak. The cherished grandfather to Kelly (Michael) Farmer, Sandra (Mark) Bailey, Jamie Small, Tracey Bochniak, Bradford Bochniak, Julia (Andrei) Broyde, Jarrett (Rachel) Bochniak, and Keagan Bochniak. The caring great-grandfather to Cameron, Jakson, Noah, Grace, Rylie, Jameson, Jayce, and Remington, loving brother-in-law to Donald Quick, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen Bochniak, and daughter, Carol Brand.
Ron was also the beloved brother to the late Gloria (Joe) Dickerson and the late kathryn Ann (Robert) Olivien.
A Graveside service will take place Friday, July 19, 11am at White Chapel Cemetery. Military Honors will be proved at the cemetery, in his honor.
