Penny, I am so sorry to hear about this. Mike was always so nice and welcoming when we would meet up at Landmark events, and he was so willing to share his knowledge of local history. He was a true gentleman, and you two seemed so happy together. My heart goes out to you and your Family

Dear Penny, Mike was a very dedicated and effective community leader. I want to express how much my wife, Mary Lyons, appreciated his hard work for the Landmarks Society. She enjoyed working with him. Ed

I have known Mike for a good long time and we were both members of the Utica and Mohawk Valley Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society. I enjoyed programs he would put on about different railroad stations that are still standing or no longer standing. He coordinated our trolley night every year in which I participated in by bringing all kinds of items pertaining to trolleys and electric railroading. My thoughts and prayers are with his family right now and he will be missed by...

As a fellow architect deeply committed to the preservation of our historic resources Mike and I interacted many times in many ways over many years as colleagues and as good friends. With his works he made our world a better place and he will be sorely missed. Condolences to Penny and the entire family that Mike loved.

Penny and family, I´m sorry to hear of Mike´s passing. He was always so supportive when working on development projects at Rural Development. His smile and positive attitude will always be remembered. Every time I pass by St. Mary´s church in Oneonta I remember him describing the addition to the church as one of his first projects he worked on after getting his architect degree. He left his mark on the world!

I was fortunate to see Mike inducted last year into the Oneida County History Center hall of fame. He also wrote the forward to my book on Old Main. He was a great ambassador for all the historic buildings in our area.
