As I sit here and think back to when Michael came to our unit, there are many thoughts that run through my mind. This was in 1997 at FT Benning, GA. This was Michael's first duty station. He was assigned to B Co 2/69 AR, 3rd PLT. I was his gunner, and he was the loader for our tank crew. It has been a while since those days, but I still can remember his kindness, his laughter, and the hard work that he gave in all situations. I remember him always talking about his wife and his family...
