Not sure what to say?

In the mid nineties, I went to work as Dir. Development at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection where Michael served as Board Chair -- always wise and gracious. At his behest I started and ran the McMichael Canadian Art Foundation. At that time, Michael had left the "Big Board" and he was recruited to Chair the Foundation board. Our first task was to recruit a group of trustees and Michael "had the best personal phone directory of anyone in Ontario." Together, we recruited an amazing board...

My sincere condolences to Shelly, Charles, and all of Michael's family and friends. RIP Michael.

I met Michael Burns for the first time when I came over from the UK to be Executive Director at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. The then Chair, Andrew Dunn, had organized a dinner to welcome me, and I had the immense pleasure of sitting next to Mr Burns, who entertained me royally with wonderful stories of his battles and triumphs with Robert McMichael. I was honoured to be able to welcome him back to the Gallery that meant so much to him just last year. He was a little frail by then,...

My name is Greg Latremoille. May I first pass on to all the Burns family members my very deep condolences at this very sad time. I worked at Beutel Goodman for 39 years, and got to know Michael first, as an "owner" of part of our firm, and second, as a client of mine in the BG Private Client Group for well more than a few decades. Michael, because of his vast knowledge of the investment business, was wonderful to work with. I was fortunate to always be talking to very much an equal, which...

Hi Shelley Your father was a wonderful man and will be sadly missed at the cottage Our sincere condolences to you and to all your family Virgilio and Olga Elia

I knew Michael from his McMichael Gallery days. First meeting I attended, Bob McMichael was adamant that Michael should resign as Chair of the Board, however Michael stood his ground, no one supported Bob McMichael's request, and as a result I was able to observe Michael Burn's skill as a Board Chair for a number of years. I learned a lot from him and greatly admired his humble attitude to all that he encountered. Truly a great man/

So very sorry for your loss.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Burns Family, Linda and John Finlay
