Mike and I were next door neighbors. We met when we were both four years old and remained lifelong friends. I have many fond memories of growing up together on Haven Terrace, playing “Marco Polo” in Mike's built-in swimming pool, playing sandlot baseball and tackle football on the fields at Samsel School, then later for the Morgan Panthers Pop Warner team and in the Sayreville Junior and Senior baseball leagues. Rest in Peace, Michael. My sympathies are with your family now. I grew up across the street from Michael on Haven Terrace and I can still picture his "Prince"-like smile.
