My sincere condolences to Mike's family, friends and colleagues. Mike was my 4th grade teacher at McDonald elementary in 1976-77. He was a charismatic, young teacher then with a large presence. He read us Old Yeller and Where the Red Fern Grows, two of the more impactful books for gradeschoolers and I'm sure all of us still remember that.
