Michael Emler

June 27, 1957 - September 9, 2025

Michael Raymond Emler, 68, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on September 9, 2025, at Genesis Medical Center East. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Weerts Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society.

Mike was born on June 27, 1957, in Davenport, Iowa. He married Christa Maxwell on August 28, 1999. The couple spent over 25 years together and had one child, Miriah Emler.

Mike was a tradesman for many years. He worked as a boilermaker, a welder, and he retired from Arconic, United Steelworkers, Local 105, after over 20 years of service.

Outside of work, Mike above all loved being with his grandchildren. He was born to be a Papa/PopPop. Mike was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, who loved to read. He was a man who could fix or build anything.

Mike is survived by his wife, Christa Emler; his daughter, Miriah Emler; his grandchildren, Maxwell and Quinn Kulp; and five sisters.

He is preceded by his parents, Hoppy and Patricia Hopwood, and two brothers.

Condolences to the family. I'm sorry to see of his passing. Mike hired in with me at Alcoa and I worked with him in 2 departments over the years.
He was a good guy, quiet and private. He would smile and nod when reacting to something said, and he would always be reading on his breaks. RIP Mike.
