I am so sorry to hear that Dr. Friedland passed away. I was one of his residents from 1988 to 1991, while he was director of the Internal Medicine Residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. The biggest chewing out I got in my career was from him and I owe him a debt of gratitude for it. He made me better and he knew it.
