Michael Giacheri Obituary
94 of Johnston passed away March 17, 2017. He was the husband of the late Edith (Razza) Giacheri.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Acqualino and Ida (Angeli) Giaccheri.
Mike was a shop steward for the Narragansett Brewery for many years before retiring. He was also a WW II Army Veteran and a founding father/member of the VFW Nelson-Mack Narragansett Post #4651 where he held numerous offices. He was the District Commander of RI and an avid card player at the post and with family and friends
He was the father of Michael Giacheri, Jr. and his wife Kathleen, William Giacheri and his wife Jean, Roseann Rodi and her husband Kenneth and David Giacheri; grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 5. He was also the brother of Anna Girasole and the late Joseph Giacchieri.
His funeral and visitation will be held Tuesday at 8:30 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Brigid Church, 1231 Plainfield Street, Johnston. Burial with Military Honors to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's memory to Hope Hospice and Palliative care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904. www.romanofuneralhome.com.

The Gentlemen and friends at the Nelson-Mack Narragansett VFW post #4651 send their deepest condolences and gratitude to Mike for all the time and years he contributed to helping to get the fledgling Nelson-Mack Post up and running(still running) back in the early "70's". He will be greatly missed by all his friends and comrades. He will always share the ties with the men that can proudly call themselves Veterans.
