Not sure what to say?

May the GOD of all comfort help you with HIS love and grace in your great sorrow!

Dear Marcia and Dan, Michael's brothers and his grandparents: My name is Denise and you don't know me. The loss of these 3 students has touched me deeply. I lost my son (John "Jack" Guckin, freshman at Carleton College, would have been class of 2014) on 3-15-11 in a collision with a semi in Randolph, MN (about 14 min north of the college). Jack and his father were both killed instantly. You family and the other 2 families of the deceased students are in my prayers and I have asked my son...

So sorry for your loss. May God Bless you and your family during this very difficult time.

Our son, Robert, is a teammate of Michael's on CUT. We are so very sorry for this accident, and are thinking so tenderly of your family.

So sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of being Michael's fifth grade teacher at Green's Farms Elementary in Westport, Connecticut. Michael's intelligence and kind disposition was evident at an early age. We are all mourning the loss of this fantiastic young man. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your precious son Michael. He was one of my son Eric's best friends at Carleton, and I had the privilege of meeting Michael two years ago after one of Eric's musical performances. Eric mentioned Michael often, and I know this is a huge loss for him also. My husband Tim and I pray that God will be with you during this difficult time. Michael was an amazing young man, and he touched the lives of everybody who knew him.

I am so sorry for your loss. As a mom, I can't imagine the heartbreak of losing a child. May God wrap his arms around your family and comfort you during this time.

Our most sincere condolences to your family in this tragic loss. I never met Michael, but he came to find CUT and a true brotherhood in much the same way as our grandson, Paxton. Paxton played a season of basketball at Carleton before he announced that he had found a sport that utilized many of the skills he had learned in soccer, football, and basketball, and which also offered a freedom and creativity that he found seductive. Most of all he tried to make us understand that these young...
