Michael Omar Gurney

Michael became my surrogate grandfather and he always enjoyed calling himself my "granddad". As a home care nurse, I took care of him while he still lived at home. He would often come to see me on his daily walks while I was working at The Edgewood Centre. He always made my day with his bright smile, warm hugs and encouraging words to continue my nursing education to become a nurse practitioner. I will forever miss him and our long talks or just sitting silently in the sun holding hands. Rest...

He was an incredibly positive person. He never said to us a bad thing about anyone. I wish we knew him longer. We look forward to seeing him again!

Mike and Connie were both very dear to me. Growing up in their congregation, they both were very supportive of me. I shall miss him!!
