I was stunned to hear of Mike's passing. He seemed to be one of those happy / healthy individuals who would live to be at least 100. I knew Mike as a classmate and friend through Jr. and Senior High Schools. Although I haven't had contact with him for a very long while, when I heard his name I immediately found myself, in my mind's eye, walking with him down the hallway of the 200 Building at Stanford Jr. High. I attended Millikan High School with Chris Hammer in the early 70's I really don't remember Mike except when Chris and I would sometimes hang out at her house. I've lived in Tucson, Arizona for the past 29 years and I do like to keep up with Long Beach news. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope you have many loving memories of your son, brother, uncle and friend.

That grade school election diddy shall always ring in my mind as I fondly recall my long time childhood buddy, Mike. We shared many a childhood memory and times together - he played Bert to my Mr. Banks in the Emerson Elementary School 4th Grade play, "Mary Poppins". Singing duets to each other in that school play is now a treasured time but we could hardly keep from laughing at each other during the plays.
