There was no one like Michael. I was so fortunate to have met him within my very first weeks of moving to NYC. He was such a pinnacle person in my life. I was instantly drawn to his candid nature, jovial humor, how we were both Midwesterners (he knew that the term "crick" meant a creek), and how he loved to have fun!
