Michael Scott JOHNSON

1959 - 2018

Michael Scott Johnson, 58 years old, of West Palm Beach, FL, died at the Good Samaritan Medical Center on Monday, July 9, 2018 following a brief battle with leukemia. A lifelong resident of the Palm Beach area, he was born at the Good Samaritan Medical Center on October 28, 1959, a son of Oscar S. and Marie Schwartz Johnson, Jr. Mike attended Palm Beach Day School and Forest Hill High School, and was employed with Nationwide Lift Trucks for over 30 years. He enjoyed volunteering especially with the Big Heart Brigade and his church family at Christ Fellowship. Preceded in death by his parents, Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cathy Cash Johnson; a son, Chris Johnson; daughter, Laura Johnson; and granddaughter, Jessica Rose; two sisters, Carolyn Hevey (Lou) and Sandy Wellman (Greg); four nieces, Nikki Thompson (Preston), Dee Dee Ruffin, Lisa Aaron (Jeff), and Ashley Wellman (Ashley); and several great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 13, from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33417. A Funeral Service in celebration of Mike's life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday at Christ Fellowship Church, 9905 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. The family will also receive friends immediately following the Service.
