I am so sorry to hear about this terrible tragedy. I am an American living in Rio, and I can attest to the challenges of violence here. I have driven the very road spoken of in this article from Buzois many times. My wife, who is a Brazilian, often speaks of the sacrifice we Americans make by living in a more dangerous country. I am proud of Mike for living his dream despite the tragic and unexpected consequences.
