Michael David Karp

Michael was a dear friend for many years. He was thoughtful, gracious and very wise. I will always count him as one of my best friends and will always miss him. May his soul rest in peace.

Mike and I were buddies as kids on Oakwood Ave. I remember playing at his house. He was a lot of fun and missed him when they moved away. Rest in peace my old friend.

Mike has been a close friend since the 1960s. Although a year younger, Mike desperately wanted to befriend our close-knit, neurotic card-playing gang. To accomplish this, Mike had to tolerate countless sophomoric acts of stupidity on our part, not well disguised a lengthy induction ceremony to become a member. Still, Mike was desperate to become a friend. So it came to be that he joined our gang, which for many years accomplished nothing at all of material value. But we learned how to trust...

Celia and I were saddened to learn of Michael´s passing. He was a gentleman with a tremendous sense of humor. I have known Michael, whose crew name was "The Fish," since we were kids. We hung out in high school and enjoyed many crazy episodes with Terry, Ken, Chuck, and Richie. Since he was the youngest among us, he was always the victim of our practical jokes, and never complained. We all loved Michael, and he will always be remembered by us, and never forgotten. RIP old friend, Chuck "Oz"...
