Not sure what to say?

Mike Lamb and I were good friends from the first grade on at Bath elementary school. We often stayed all night at each others home, sometimes with other friends such as Bill Fields, Randy Joseph, and Phil Cosart. Mike Lamb and I played midget football together on the Bath Kats for four years. In the 7th grade Mike was the quarterback and Steve Rhine and I were in the backfield, along with other Bath graduates on the team. Mike hurt his back playing quarterback in the eighth grade. I am sure...

Linda: I was shocked and saddened to learn of Mike's death. He was a wonderful man in addition to being an excellent superintendent and BASA President. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of his family.

I served on a number of boards or committees with Mike and this is a tremendous loss for our community and the education of our students in Lima. Mike was always approachable and a good listener. May God bless you Mike and bring comfort to your family.

We are so sorry for your loss, Linda. It was a pleasure getting to know Mike through you. Your face always lit up when you talked about him. We are praying for you. Please don't hesitate to call if you ever need anything!

Mike and I both went to Bath and I remember him as such a nice guy. Later in life his son Danny and my Rachel went to Shawnee together. Like his dad Danny was always such a nice and well mannered young man. I will keep you in our prayers as you all go through this rough time.

I was fortunate to have my classroom down the hallway from the superintendent's office. Almost everyday we saw Mr. Lamb in the hallway. I remember one day when we were talking that I called him my boss. He said he was not my boss but my co-worker. This is a prime example of the kind of person and educator he was. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Mike and I went to school together at Bath and there wasn't anyone who didn't know Mike Lamb. Mike was the all around nice guy who got along with everyone, he will be greatly missed. Our prayers be with Mike's family.

Sincere sympathy to the family in your time of loss. I had Mike as an English teacher and baseball coach early in his career, at Columbus Grove. Clearly, the messages here indicate his large contributions in the field of education and his commitment to students. Less than a year ago, he was comforting us when my Dad passed. May God be with you and give you peace.

Danny and Katie,
I am so saddened to hear of the loss of your great father. I will never forget the times our families spent together at Perry sporting events and afterwards at your house. My deepest condolence.
