I am so sorry and shocked to hear of Bruce's passing. We went to elementary school together in High Point and my parents knew his mom well. He looked me up when he moved to Wilmington in the mid 70's. We last saw each other at church about 10 years ago. He was such a nice easy going person. I can see he had many friends and touched many lifes. He truly made his mark on this earth in a good way and will always be remembered as a good person. May he be happy for ever more in heaven with...

I was a Junior High and High School friend of Bruce. I had not seen him in over 20 years but I do remember what a kind person and good friend that he was when we were in school. May god bless his family.

God blessed our family with my cousin Bruce. He touched many lives. Even though we didn't speak or keep in as close contact as I would have liked he knew we loved him and he us. I hope that the rest of the family will try to keep in better touch. I know it's hard and how easily we all slip back into our daily lives but please know that I love you all . I will miss cuz Bruce dearly...

I worked with Bruce for a couple of years at WBPD. He had a great sense of humor and was a caring person.
My thoughts are with his family at this time of loss. May Bruce live on in our hearts and may the wonderful memories of a life well lived shine through.

Bruce was my cousin and my friend and the closest thing to a brother -- other than my brother-in-law Johnny. Bruce was always there for me and supported me in everything I did -- especially the writing of my two books. We e-mailed each other and visited when we could -- unfortunately, not often -- but I knew he was only an e-mail or a phone call away, and I knew he loved me as I loved him. My memories of him will be cherished always, and I will miss his laughter and his love. He is with...
