Mike and I go way back to the days when we worked together in the Division of Insurance Fraud in Miami. He was our director's righthand man in the division, and most of the time took care of issues for, or before, they reached the director. Mike never wavered from our division's purpose of serving the citizens honestly and without bias, even though there were political pressures on our office at the time. I worked with Mike in the Fraud Division in Miami and in Tallahassee. We butted heads many times as we were both stubborn, but he was a man of integrity and steadfast loyalty to anyone he worked with.
