I was reminded this week of Michael's untimely passing, and have spent time remembering his warm, kind nature, and how I used to look forward to visiting with him at the salon where he worked. My condolences to family and friends who knew him far better than I. Michael spread joy and love to all who knew him, and I am so grateful to call him my friend. May he rest in peace!

Michael and I became friends when he was a hair stylist in Chicago a few years back. He used to cut my hair, and we would visit while he worked. Michael was an amazing listener and a warm, humble human being. We stayed in touch online when he moved out of Chicago.
