Michael H. Ney

Michael H. (Mike) Ney, 75, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Arlene; a sister, Margaret Ann Connelley; brother-in-law, Dana L. Kelley; niece, Debora (Charles) Hazelwood; a nephew, Bruce (Marianne) Kirby and many other nieces and nephews.

Mike served 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard and worked in industrial and retail sales until retirement. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mike felt like being outdoors in nature was like being in church. Mike also became a licensed Merchant Marine officer for small vessels and was given the name "Captain Mike" by his fishing buddies. After retirement Mike trained his beloved yellow Labrador retriever Sandy to be a therapy dog with Therapy Dog International. For many years they visited various facilities every Thursday.

Mike and Sandy made countless friends and helped some people along the way. Mike will be truly missed by his many friends and family.
