My thoughts and prayers are with your family. In reading your words about Michael, I have learned he was an extraordinary person who has shown us the way to live with purpose and courage. May Michael rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Michael was a very good friend he helped me in our princeton review class to prepare me for the SAT he was always so sweet and he would always go with me to panera after class because i was scared to walk alone. I miss him so very much, but i know hes still here in the sense that he never gave up and gave inspiration to many people especially me. he was the most courageous person and was so full of happiness. ill miss you salmon

It makes me very sad to know that Michael has moved on. What an amazing person he was! Such energy and enthusiasm not to mention courage! He was the first to call me a nerd for cheering when he coughed up stuff. I will miss him very much! Your description of him is wonderful and is a great documentation of his life, and I'm sure it is brief compared to all the things he had planned. I am honored to have known him. Please know that I am thinking of him and you guys and if I can do...

Michael was a courageous youngman who I was very fond of. We had many laughs. He will not be forgotten.

I only saw Michael at Savannah Arts Academy where my daughter Nina attended school. I never knew him, but learned of his courage and deep spirit through Nina's stories. Truly inspirational

God bless you all,

Elizabeth Newkirk
