Not sure what to say?

I heard the news today oh boy. I never would have made it threw the Master's program had it not been for the patients and kindness of this gifted man. I am so very saddened. He will always live on in my heart. Till we meet again.

Sending you birthday wishes-- thanks for the wonderful education. You helped to create so many awesome public health professionals.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Dr. Perlin's family and close friends. He was instrumental in my academic growth.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Dr. Perlins passing. Knowing him only from presentation he gave which I attended (and learned much from!) he always made time to chat afterwards. Subsequently, he became my "go-to" resouce when I needed a neutral yet expert eye on a matter. He is missed.

I would like to extend my condolences to Dr. Perlin's family. Michael was my faculty advisor and professor in the MPH program at SCSU. He had an open door policy to students that allowed for easy conversation and advising. He had a unique engaging manner in the classroom. I enjoyed an easy rapport with Michael, and his smile exhibited a warmth that was genuine and heartfelt. After graduating in 2008, I maintained sporatic contact with Michael, and he was generous in providing recommendations...

Your are always in my thoughts, Dr Perlin.

On behalf of myself and the NYS Drinking Driver Program Directors Association, I would like express feelings of gratefulness to Michael for sharing his many gifts with us. He was passionate about the program and was a friend to many of us. He was a fine man with a strong desire to make life better for others. We will miss him.
Margaret Garvila, Director of Ulster County Community College DDP and Exec Sec. of the NYS Drinking Driver Program Directors Association.

I was fortunate enough to work with Dr. Perlin through the Drinking Driver Program. He was a masterful resource and a wonderful clinician. An open, warm and generous individual; he will be missed greatly by friends, students and colleagues. God Bless.

I'm truly saddened to learn of Dr. Perlin's passing. He was an amazing person. He challenged you in the classroom and was always available to talk one-on-one. He changed the way I think, and I'm so thankful to have known him.
