Michael Phillips Obituary

PHILLIPS, Michael Josef passed away early Thursday morning, March 26, 2020. He was 39. For his entire life, Mike was a staunch advocate for persons with disabilities, and worked with many companies, like Apple to develop assistive technologies that could be used widely in the disability community. Above all, Michael was a beloved brother, son, and uncle. He is survived by his mother and lifelong caregiver, Karen; his stepfather, Randy; his brother, Brian; his sister-in-law, Jenna; and his niece, Katharine "Kit Kat" Clay. I had the privilege. & pleasure of meeting Michael, his mother & brother many years ago at our annual Developer Conference. I was so inspired by Michael & his Michael didn't let anything get him down or get in his way of developing Apps & inspiring everyone with his upbeat personality. Michael left a footprint in this world & I'm forever grateful to have met him. God Bless you Michael & your Family.

I will always remember Mike for his wit, I will always remember Mike for his wit, his Brilliance, his strength, his knowledge and his persistence. Mike was a gift to all of us and our lives are better because he was here. Rest in peace. My condolences to Karen and the whole family and to all that knew Mike.

Michael was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was the Stephen Hawking of his generation. His life is a reminder of what we can be without physical limitations. God bless you, Michael. I am a better person having known you! ❤
