Michael Karl Redmond

Please accept my deepest sympathy in your loss (and heaven's gain) of the passing of Mike.
It was just a shock to learn of Mike's death - I do not receive the paper - from Charlie Roberts last night. I was a teacher at Arnold Middle School during the time he was there and really enjoyed working with him. I pray cherished memories will help ease the sorrow within your hearts.

Mike was my principal for four years at Phenix City Middle School and I remember how much he cared for the students as well as faculty. His family was his source of pride and joy. He always thought of others before himself. He will be greatly missed but I know he's doing his heavenly father's work now.

Mr. Redmond was also one of my favorite teachers when I was in 6th grade at Lafayette Lanier. I can remember our class giving him a baby shower when he was expecting his first baby. My mom and I took the money from the class and purchased all the baby stuff we gave him. He always told me that I should go into comedy because I made him laugh on a daily basis. He was a great teacher and one that I will always remember. Prayers to Mrs. Redmond and the boys.

I was very sorry to hear of Mike's death. I worked with him at La Fayette Lanier Elementary school, and he also taught my children. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE KNOWN AND LOVED MIKE AND LIVED WITH HIM. HE ENRICHED MY LIFE. LOOKING FORWARD TO LIVING WITH HIM AGAIN ONE DAY. BRENDA, MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Mr. Redmond was one of my favorite teachers when I was a student at LaFayette Lanier Elementary school (Langdale)in Valley back in 1985 - 1986. I am very sorry to hear about his passing. --- J.J. Pitts
