Michael and I grew up together in Riverdale, N.Y. We attended St. Gabriel School and we all loved basketball. (You couldn't live in Riverdale and NOT love basketball - after all, we were the hub...Frank McGuire and Donnie Walsh used to scout out future stars at our playground.)I have a picture of Michael on the team... but that year, the girls basketball team beat the boys - we won the city championship - beating out St. Anthony of Padua (an impossible team to beat.) But we had secret...

Michael and I were raised together in Riverdale, N.Y. He was a great kid who shared the Riverdale passion of basketball. (You couldn't live in Riverdale and not love basketball!)So sad to hear of his passing, but let it be known that the Riverdale crowd mourns his loss - he was a great guy.I'm sure I speak for all of our mutual friends when we send sincere condolences to Lance and Cindy.
