Michael Solmer Obituary
Born in Attleboro, a son of the late Israel and Rachel (Chernick) Solmer, he was a life-long resident of the city.
A proud graduate of Attleboro High School, Class of 1966, Michael was a custodian at the Attleboro District Court, now the James H. Sullivan Courthouse, for almost 30 years, retiring in 2012.
He is survived by his loving sister, Nancy Gore and her husband Neal of Burlington, MA and two nephews, William Katz and his wife Lindsay Abram-Katz and David Katz.
His funeral and burial were private.
Arrangements were in the care of Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, Providence.

I had the good fortune of seeing Mikey at least once a week for over 20 years. He was a very hard worker who brightened the Attleboro District Courthouse with his efforts and his smile.
He and Al Martelli worked together as a team and brought that building to life. I am grateful for all of the time spent there and hope that Mikey knows how much he was liked and respected.

A longtime classmate & friend, he will be sadly missed & so fondly remembered.Michael was always smiling,positive,friendly& kind to everyone & always to me.
I was glad to have seen him and also you,Nancy, for our last AHS class get-together.
