Not sure what to say?

Over the last 6 months or so, I had the honor of meeting and playing onstage with Mike at Callies in Brookfield. While sitting at the bar waiting for our turn to jam, Mike and I talked about life, politics and music. Even though I only knew him for a short time, I will miss him as a mentor and music buddy.

I worked with Mike at Allis Chalmers back in the mid-70’s. Mike was a heavy machinery assembler as well as a painter. Mike assisted “John the painter” and soon found himself taking the lead placing the finishing touches on steam turbines, pumps and cement mining equipment. Mike could do it all. We had many conversations usually over a cold one at Tom and Jerry’s Bar but I never was aware that Mike had a secret passion for music. As sad as I was to learn of Mike’s passing, I am able to take...

my condolences to all of Mike's friends and family....i met Mike watching Packers games in Nashville when i first moved here (I'm also a cheesehead) and then got to know him when he played bass with many of my friends in town....great guy...such sad news but at least the last day of his life he was doing what he wanted to be doing...playing music...RIP buddy.....

I worked with Mike forty years ago cleaning school buses and didn't see him again until recently by chance. I was glad to see him again and he made me feel like I was still one of his friends and we caught up on old times and life. I have been sad knowing that I wont have that opportunity to hear him play and or talk to him again. I can't imagine how much Karen and his family are going to miss him.

Karen,
I have no words to express my sorrow for your loss...Although it has been a long time, just know I am thinking of you and wish you strength and courage to get through this.
I have many many great memories of going to watch the boys play - remember when?? We had a great time - and you and Mike were meant to be...
Take care
