Not sure what to say?

I am shocked. Have been trying to find Mike, a devoted friend who truly cared, and after a more random search came upon this. A very difficult way to learn of his passing. I always expected to talk more with him again. He and I were avid conversationalists, and ending any gab session always required discipline and strength. Fresh grief now is almost crippling. Mike was one of the most ALIVE people I've ever been blessed to know. Loved him from our very first conversation. We'd later learn...

Mike and I shared a house in Raleigh in the early 70's with Elliott Harrell and Tommy O'Berry, some of the fondest memories of my life. Mike, aka " Kinky" was a great roommate and friend, and there was never a dull moment.. We will miss him, but heaven will be a better place with him entertaining everyone up there. May God bless your family. We love you all! Sturdy

Just got word of your passing. Thank God we had lunch the last time I was in Raleigh. Will always remember it. Condolences to your wife and kids. Rest In Peace cousin.

Hi Beth Anne, Christopher, and Sara Anne I just wanted to send my love in this very difficult time. I know I stand as one among hundreds who was positively impacted by Mike. As a kid he was always so nice to me and took the time to engage with me when many other adults did not. He also went out of his way to get Michael Jordans autograph for me because he knew what a fanatic I was. He was a truly special and sincerely loving person and I am so sorry for your loss. All my love to you and...

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Mike was such a nice person and his Dad, Adkin, was Allen´s brother-in-law.

The RMEF family is grieving the loss of our brother. I am so honored to have shared time and a friendship with Mike. He will be missed but not forgotten. Go rest high on that mountain. Chris Croy & the RMEF family

Beth Anne, Sarah Anne, Christopher and family, We were saddened to learn of your sudden loss of Mike, one day from Marcia losing her mother. We will always cherish our friendship when we lived across the street on Battleford Drive, especially in the aftermath of the 1988 tornado, when you guys opened up your home to our family at 2:00 am in the morning. I´m certain that through the immediate shock and physical loss, that you know Mike´s absence is temporary until you see him again, like my...

Mike was one of the first people we met and worked with when we moved here over 20 years ago. Mike's passion and outgoing nature was always infectious and welcoming. He will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers to Beth Anne and the family...

My deepest sympathy and condolences to Beth Anne and family. Mike was a great man and always fun to be around. I enjoyed growing up in Henderson with his brother Steve and playing basketball with Mike. Then we got older and played golf. We turned to yearly Myrtle Beach golf trips for the Toot Invitational. One of my best memories is from Prestonwood Golf Course at the Jimmy V in 1997 when Mike became Michael Jordan's official photographer! He could talk his way into or out of any situation...
