Not sure what to say?

I was so sad to hear of Mike Stanley`s passing, even though it has been now a few years. In 1981 to 1982. I was blessed to be a senior in high school who had transferred from Ohio and Mike Stanley, and Coach MacArthur were my coaches. Mike was one of the most technically proficient and most skilled coaches, I have the pleasure to work with. He taught me high levels of technique that influenced my years and wrestling, but his personality and his coaching style was also a strong influence in my...

Hi Coach Mike. Thank you for being a mentor and a leader. I didnt like Fairview, but I did like Mike and he made my time there tolerable. He was someone who would cut you a break if you needed and always had a smile for you when you were down. Rest in Power king and slam God on the mat when you meet him!

Mike Stanley was amazing. I wrestled at Boulder High and he coached at Fairview. He was also my boss at the Boulder Reservoir during the summers where I worked with his son Scott. My oldest son is now wrestling here in South Carolina and I wish I could pick his brain about coaching wrestling. I see him in the opposing corner of my old matches. He is a great man.

Hey Coach, you might be gone but not forgotten. Always an inspiration to me and our wrestling team. God Bless.

WOULD LIKE TO VISIT WITH ANYONE WHO KNEW MIKE AT CASEY JR HIGH. HE WAS A 7TH GRADER AND I WAS A 1ST YEAR TEACHER AND COACH WHEN WE MET.

I unfortunately just found out today and I wish I had been able to go to the service. Mike was an amazing mentor to me and I will never forget his enthusiasm, kindness and plentiful kettles of green tea! Through him I learned how to be a great teacher and mentor. I will never forget the fun we had in the science department and with the Japanese Exchange program!

Mr. Stanley was an outstanding teacher, coach and friend to so many young people in Boulder County! He taught both my sons after coming out of retirement to teach at Boulder Country Day School, and they were very fortunate to have him as a teacher! He was always so supportive and truly cared for his students. We are all deeply saddened for your loss and ours! Mike Stanley was an exceptional person who will be sincerely missed by all who knew him!

Mike was one of my best friends in high school, and I know he will be missed by the many people that he helped and taught during his life time. He was a great man. God bless you Mike.

This is sad news but we wish to join the chorus of celabratories on behalf of Mike. He was a coach and mentor to our son, who is currently serving in the Navy, and was very saddened to hear of the news. He recalled 'Coach' as a teacher, coach, and climbing partner. He touched the future. RIP, Coach. Thank you. Joe Sleeper
