As first Director/Coach of the NWA Hawks Youth Football team, I was privileged to have two of the Stark boys on my team. (At my old age, I'm not sure of the names... possibly David and Michael???) I soon found out that they were "Chips off the Old Blocks," after I also enlisted their mom and dad to help with organization, fund-raising, equipment management, assist coaching, etc. The entire Stark family were phenomenal, but Mike was always someone special to the organization and to me...

I was privileged & honored to have known both Mike & his wife Mary through my working at the Akron Zoo, and was glad to call them dear friends. Mike was a wonderful man, always had a smile and a kind word for everyone, and there wasn't anyone who loved the zoo much more than he did.
He will be very much missed by everyone who knew & loved him.
