Not sure what to say?

I only recently found out about Mike's passing. My condolensces to his family. I knew Mike through tennis and we had many conversations in the gym. To Madison, I wanted you to know that when your father talked about you and your tennis play, he beamed with pride. I could tell he was a very proud father.

May your family be blessed with strength in this unimaginably painful time...

So sorry for your loss he was such a great guy always smiling .I would see him almost every morning doing what he loves to do working out at in shape

Mike-
Your IDPA family will miss your gentle spirit. You made our sport better. We are now "down one". Rest in peace friend.

TO MY BROTHER MIKE ... THE "GENTLE GIANT" ...thank you for LETTING US INTO YOUR WORLD ...for being the ROCK we could all count on ... for being the person we should all STRIVE to be ... for your KINDNESS AND CARING WAYS ... for the LAUGHS along the way ... thank you for being YOU ... a GOOD husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

REST IN PEACE MY BROTHER

We are all blessed to know and befriend such a wonderful man. He was truly a renaissance man. Knowledgeable in every subject. He inspired me in every way. He was always encouraging others to be their best. Mike was a devoted and caring husband and father. He will be truly missed, but never forgotten! We love you Mike!

Carrie-Anne, Madison and Alexis,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Michael's passing. My prayers and thoughts are with you through this very sad and difficult time. Although our paths separated when I returned home to PEI, you have crossed my mind many times. We will never know God's plan but may you find peace in your loving memories of a dear and kind husband, father and friend.

Keeping you close in my thoughts and prayers, DeeDee Rappe.

I met Mike in 1994 when our wives were roommates. In all those years, I can't recall him ever saying a bad word about anyone. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Mike Swaney was a fabulous and patient preceptor and "brand new RD" trainer. What I know about practicing dietetics is because of Mike's ability to help me see the big picture. He taught me how to communicate with physicians and how to advocate for nutrition when a physician might need some persuading. I never met his family but I knew all about them because Mike talked about his wife and kids all the time. Again a huge loss for our dietitian community. And I bet the angels in heaven are...
