Michael Ryan Thomas 8/15/1987 - 7/28/2012 On August 15, 1987, a 10 lb baby boy named Michael Ryan Thomas entered the world. His family was pleased to know he was the largest baby in the nursery. As a young toddler, his first word was "out-side'. No one loved to be at the park more than him....

Not sure what to say?

Hi I don't know you or Michael... I was looking for another MR on this site. But I read about your son and I wanted to write and say how moved I was by your description of your son... and how special it was, that the finest thing his friends could do was to remember him by giving a Michael hug to a loved one. I cannot imagine your grief. I wish you strength and hope, despite your loss.

Mike was truly a great person and will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to the Thomas family and the countless people that were personally touched by Mike.

Mike is the best type of person anyone could know. The most kind and gentle person. A friend to everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. I had the privilege and honor of meeting Mike when we played for the Rocklin Predators at the age of 13. It has been some time now since we have last crossed paths but I know when we did nothing would change because that's the type of person Mike is. The best type of person. You will be missed big fella and never forgotten. I look forward to our next...

Mike was such a great human being. He didn't have to do anything extraordinary for people to be drawn to him. He never tried to be the center of attention, but the center of attention was always where he was. People felt good just being around him. In Baseball, he had the rare ability to have his teammates love him (even those competing with him for a position) I was fortunate enough to have coached him and to have both my sons play with him. He raised the bar for my expectations on how...

I met Big Mike through work a lil over a year ago. We all called him Hercules. He was literally the quietest guy in our department and definitely one of the hardest workers. He was always talking Giants baseball. Mike was a great dude to talk to and work with. He was always in a good mood and smiling. The world would be a better place if there were more "Big Mike's" in it. My prayers go out to the Thomas family.

I had the privilege of working with Mike in baseball and he was a very dedicated kid with a great attitude. I always looked forward to seeing him each week. He was also a friend of our kids and he was considered part of the family. Eric and Lisa Vorbeck and the Nunn kids.

I have never had the opportunity to have met your Michael. I wanted your family to know you are in my families hearts. Though we are only just strangers, my children are getting Michael Hugs tomorrow. May you find strength with each new day.
Sincerely-The Stell Family, Roseville CA

Mike will be greatly missed by our family. His positive outlook on life and great personality will always be remembered. Mike would make time to help our boys with baseball and always had positive encouragement for them. We could always count on Mike to lend a helping hand.

We love you, Mike. You will be forever missed, and forever remembered.

Our condolences to Mark, Kelly and Mary.

Mike was an awesome guy all around. He never faulted from his integrity, commitment, and overall warm-heartedness. He was very highly thought of around these parts, and will always continue to be. I personally have heard people refer to him as an "All-Star", "Super-Star", and it was also said, "if more people could be like Mike, this place would be a far better place to be." He was always first in line to help someone in need, took great pride in doing his job to the level of excellence...
