Not sure what to say?

Mike, I always thought I would see you again. Perhaps we will meet in another dimension.

Mike--You were always one of my favorite people in high school (Langley). You were such a kind kid and just as great a man, when last I saw you at a class reunion.

I had wanted to get in touch with you when a fellow classmate told me of your tragic passing. I will always be sorry I didn't get a chance to see you again.
Much love-Cindy

It was a shock to open the George Mason University alumni magazine yesterday and learn of Mike's passing. We met on the Mason Varsity Fencing team in 1982-3. I liked Mike from the start as he was so laidback about things where I was the opposite, and he had an enjoyment of life and living in the moment. He taught me to enjoy the sport of fencing and to relax in matches which really helped me develop into a better saber fencer. We had so much fun going to matches and Mike being part of the...

I'll post more on my Facebook page in a note. But I loved MIke. We have been friends since 5th grade and I will miss him terribly. I hadn't seen him since 1999 as I live overseas and I couldn't get him to the places I live. But we spoke a few times in recent years and as soon as we do, it's like time and distance disappear. This explains why I just found out and I'm devestated. But Mike lived his life to the fullest, as he chose (random or pre-destined?) and he'll always be with me. I...

Mike -- We all miss you, especially your moneky nephews. I just, today, had the courage to ask Martin to get a charger for your ipod. I will listen to your music tonight and think of you. We love you and miss you. Love, Kris, Martin and Miss Kiki (and the monkeys... which makes you a monkey's uncle!)p.s. you would get a kick out of this... Luke was afraid of the thunderstorms a couple of days ago and would not go to bed.
He claimed that he was "thunder-intolerant" and thus could...

Its a shocker and a great tragedy. May your soul rest in peace. May God comfort your family at this great tragic situation. We all miss you mike. It's still unbelievable that you have slept in the lord.

Let's not forget Mike's gift to us: fun times and happy memories.

mike was such a wonderful friend to me, my "adopted" big brother. i've had some of the best times with him. he was such a hilarious volleyball player. i'll really miss his back-handed-tinkerbell-spike. i'll even miss all the wise cracks he'd dish up for me. we've had so many laughs together whether we were schooling another team at billiards, talkin' smack to each other as he whooped me at golden tee, beating him at silver strike, trying to armbar him as i practice my jiu-jitsu on him in...

We lost a great guy who always knew how to have fun!
