I was a teammate of Mike's on the plebe baseball team. I was cut in my sophomore year. Mike, of course, went on to star for Navy. At each reunion I attended, as soon as Mike saw me, he rushed over and made me feel like I was his favorite celebrity. That's the kind of guy and leader he was. I lived in Arlington, VA. for 8 years, and one of his teammates mentioned, years later, that Mike hit two home runs against a local DC team, the best game of his Navy career, on that field. We were deeply saddened to hear of Michael's passing, but we know that the Lord has him in His Arms now, and Mike will have everlasting peace.
