I've been trying to gather words at the news to Mikes passing. I came to the conclusion I have none. This man was the greatest ever. My son Derrick never set foot in the classroom due to covid-19 and he helped Derrick get through it. Derrick decided to do the summer program Mike did, and Derrick could not stop talking about him. Mike and I were close friends in the old neighborhood. We had a lot of good times. As time went on, we sort of went our own ways. We stayed friends, of course. Throughout all of these years, the one thing that never seemed to change was Mike-his personality. Sure he matured, but he somehow maintained that happy-go-lucky attitude(and his gait reflected it).
