Mildred Kosches Abraham

To family of Mrs. Abraham, Philip and Peter, and Benjamin, It is with deepest sadness that I learn of Mildred's passing. I worked with her at the rare book library as a student at UVa' decades ago. She was my direct supervisor who became my lifelong mentor. She and Henry had profound influence in my life. Without telling her in the past years, I tried to find a position in Charlottesville so I could spend some time with her and Henry in their final years. I spoke with her a few months...

although i had not seen Mildred in recent years, i enjoyed eunning into her. A few years ago, we ran into each other at Starbucks and i learned much about her interest in historic houses and collecting books. She was always so down to earth, funny and kind. I had known and enjoyed Henry as well but i knew them individually rather than as a couple. My deepest sympathy to the family.

I always enjoyed seeing Henry & Mildred at the Paramount for the Met,and Charlottesville operas. We attended Italian language classes together which were always great fun. Mildred was a gracious and lovely woman;she will be missed by many!
