Not sure what to say?

We offer sincere sympathy and condolences to the Socolar family. I am just now receiving the news of the passing of your beloved Milton Socolar. Mr. and Mrs. Socolar were both very kind to me in my early 20's giving me the opportunity to buy one of their multi-family properties in 1995. I have very fond memories of both of them as we stayed in touch for some time after the sale. Mr. Socolar was one of the most gentle yet firm gentleman I have ever known. May blessings be continual for...

Milt and Marlyn were wonderful friends to my family. We were all were deeply fond of them. I'm ever grateful for their generosity. Milt was a true mensch. May his name be a blessing. Much love to Marlyn, Serge, and Josh and all of Milt's family and friends.

I remember Milt very fondly. He was a great Deputy Comptroller Cereal and loved and admired by all.

Milt was one of the best, most competent, kind and easy going executives the office ever had. He was a pleasure to work with and work for. He was missed as soon as he retired. Sorry to hear this news. :-(

My prayers and thoughts go to the Socolar family in the wake of Milt's passing. I had the privilege and benefit of working with Milt for much of my 38 year GAO career. I could always rely on Milt for sound advice and counsel. In difficult times, he was a major part of the glue that kept GAO moving forward. Milt was the "real deal" a genuine, caring person that you could depend on to guide you in the right direction. Rest In Peace, Milt

I have too many fond memories of working together with Milt during my 20 years at GAO to possibly share adequately in a brief message. Suffice it to say that he was always insightful, wise and warm and extremely supportive and dedicated to the people and mission of the agency. A true public servant and gentleman of the highest order. May he rest in peace.

Marlyn and family - There are no words to express this loss. You have our deepest condolences. I was so fortunate to have known him and worked with him for so long. He was always the perfect gentleman and an exemplary leader at GAO. He will be missed by many. Pierson joins me in sending our love and blessings to you and your family.
