I didn't know Mitch personally but played against him in American Legion baseball while I was playing for Whiteville. He was an incredible pitcher, and I had great respect for him. My prayers and thoughts go out to the family.

In loving memory to a great baseball man who loved sharing his passion for the game to our kids. Mitch will be throwing strikes in heaven and his memory will live on in each of us who's hearts he touched when he shook our hands.

I can not say I knew Mitch other than to say if you went to New Hanover, you knew Mitch! He is fortunate to leave a legacy. God needed a great ball player in heaven so he took Mitch early. My prayers are with the family. Sincerely,
