I am so sorry for your loss. It was an honour to know Mitchell. He was one of those kids you never forget and talk about often. I enjoyed sharing many moments with Mitchell and always appreciated his sense of humour and his sly smile. I´m thinking of you and your family and know that Mitchell was a very special person who will be missed.

To the Down family, I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful child, brother and cousin. As teachers we're not supposed to have favourites, but, Mitch was one of mine. I loved his passion and care for others. When Mitch spoke in class everyone listened because they knew his words came from a place of thought and feeling. He and I had many talks about friendships and navigating the social structure of a school. He taught me a lot, and I will be forever grateful for our relationship.
