Seeing his smiling photo reminds of all the fun we shared on his and Mary's visits to Rome. He was a very positive person and is still missed by his friends.

I met Mitch just for once, and it was sufficient for him and Mary to gain a place in my heart. It's still difficult to believe he has passed away. All my prayer is that the Lord preserves his soul in perfect peace.

Dear Mary,
I am terribly sorry to hear the passing of Mitch. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time. Mitch is now rest in peace in the lap of our Almighty Father and enjoys eternal life. I will say a rosary for the repose of his soul tonight. Take good care of yourself, my dear friend. May God be with you always.

I will never forget Mitch's thoughtfulness when he sent me a great book to read while I was recuperating. It was always a joy to be in his company.
