Modesto Carneiro, 79, passed away on Sept. 16, 2025. Modesto was born, March 3, 1946, in Sao Juliao, Portugal. He was the son of Abilio and Anna (Macanjo) Carneiro. Modesto served as a soldier in the Portuguese military.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Maria (Barrigas) Carneiro, is his daughter, Lucia Carneiro. A service of remembrance will be held 10:30 am, Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 149 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury. Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury. Arrangements by Greens Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
